Quick Apply Part-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description Busy Oral Surgery office has part- time position for a dental assistant to join us in providing exceptional care to our patients.
16-24 hours a week, usually 24 Monday, Thursday, and Friday are the usual days scheduled but ideal candidate would have flexibility on other days to cover co- worker's time off or changes in doctor's schedule Friday would be 7:
15 AM start time.
No nights, or weekends Hourly rate will be determined by experience Dental experience preferred but will train capable and motivated individual.
Responsibilities include:
Assist team mates in patient care by managing sterilization of instruments and cleaning operatories, room and tray set up.
Prepare operatory for procedures and keep stocked.
Take xrays, seat patients while conducting pre-operative assessment, and completing data entry in EMR record.
Assist doctor and monitor patient throughout surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and IV sedation.
Patient assessment and education pre and post operatively, including after IV sedation.
Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
Multiple other duties shared with co workers Skills needed:
able to stand chair side; dexterity and visual acuity to clean and handle instruments, pleasant and compassionate communicator; patience in stressful situations; competent in computer data entry; quick and eager learner and eager to work with a team.
