Summary:
This position is responsible for all aspects of Finance & Accounting, and Sales within the framework of a non-profit organization.
Organizational responsibility for legal, governmental, and regulatory compliance is intrinsic to the responsibilities for this position.
Organizational assets and resources are managed by establishing accounting and related processes, policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
Responsibilities are performed and managed using applicable financial and operations-related application software.
This position develops fiscal year corporate and functional budgets, tracks, analyzes and reports performance to budget as directed.
In alignment with 3rd party CPA Auditor recommendations, this position implements or improves upon accounting processes and standards supportive of day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning.
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, planning, time management, prioritization, and managerial skills are essential to be successful in this position.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Recommends financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Responsible for all aspects of Organizational Finance and Accounting including General Ledger, accounts receivable and collections, accounts payable and debt management, and all related financial and tax reporting.
Manages Balance Sheet and Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Establishes depreciation schedules; maintains asset registers including additions and disposals.
Maximizes budgetary effectiveness, and limits risk, on cash by managing bank balances and investments.
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting and analyzing data; recommending plans.
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.

Establishes, maintains and improves financial information process controls, confidentiality and security.
Works with 3rd party CPA firm to accomplish tax preparation, reporting, and financial review.
Responsible for all aspects of Finance, Facilities and Purchasing in alignment with the organizational structure and integrated with appropriate accounting controls.
Lead the review and recommended updates or changes of the software/accounting systems currently in place.
Develops the Delegation of Authority structure with the President/CEO, negotiates major and strategic supplier contracts and implements/maintains purchasing processes and controls supportive of the Operating Plan.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforces process compliance and related controls; files financial reports; advises management on compliance initiatives and related action items.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Initiates and implements improvements with sufficient project management detail to responsibly identify and mitigate critical path risk elements.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with a valid CPA license or 10 years of equivalent experience.
5
years of non-profit or government agency experience in a similar role preferred.
Experience working with Tessitura and Ticketmaster, retail sales and operations is desired though not required.
Knowledge or experience in the arts or architecture is a plus.
Experience managing a team for metric-driven outcomes is a must.
Demonstrated, verifiable leadership skills, ability and experience.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
Is highly organized and is able to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
